TechFlow reports, according to on-chain data analyst Yu Jin, two BLUR staking whales redeemed their BLUR tokens and transferred them to exchanges after claiming their BLAST airdrop. However, both whales suffered significant losses in this operation: the 1 million BLAST tokens they received are currently worth only $20,000, while their average cost basis for BLUR exceeds $0.50—significantly higher than the current market price of $0.22.
Specifically, address 0x8bc...7be claimed 1 million unlocked BLAST tokens, then withdrew 12.52 million BLUR (approximately $2.71 million) from the Blur staking contract, transferring 8.04 million BLUR (around $1.74 million) to Binance. Address 0x4aa...745 also claimed 1 million unlocked BLAST tokens, redeemed 8.39 million BLUR (approximately $1.79 million) from the Blur staking contract, and transferred the funds to Bybit.
