TechFlow reports that the ETHFI DAO has proposed launching ether.fi's third season and allocating 25,000,000 ETHFI tokens to eligible ether.fi stakers. This initiative aims to reward community members for their continued support and active participation, while incentivizing more users to deepen their engagement with the ether.fi ecosystem. Season 3 will begin on July 1, 2024, and end in early September 2024, with the airdrop distribution to follow shortly after the season concludes.
The newly introduced "Perks Passport" system will reward users for participation and achievements in DeFi activities, offering up to a 5x boost in loyalty points. Users must hold at least 0.1 eETH to activate the Perks Passport, with all eETH and weETH considered equivalent for eligibility. Participants must maintain their staked status throughout Season 3 or risk losing airdrop eligibility. This proposal is designed to further drive growth and adoption within the ether.fi ecosystem. Voting will be conducted via Snapshot over a 5-day window.
