TechFlow news: Paradigm has announced the open-sourcing of Revmc, a compiler that translates EVM bytecode into native machine code, significantly enhancing EVM performance by analyzing and optimizing bytecode and then generating native machine code tailored to the host system architecture. Benchmarks show improvements ranging from 1.85x to 19x.
In benchmark tests, the Fibonacci workload demonstrated a 19x improvement, while common workloads such as WETH and Counter saw gains between 1.85x and 2.77x.
Going forward, Revmc is expected to play a key role in high-performance L2 networks, with plans to launch in the Reth AlphaNet release.
