TechFlow news — Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, and Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision, discussed the potential for a Dogecoin ETF during the latest YouTube podcast hosted by Coin Bureau. Hayes predicted that a Dogecoin ETF could launch before the end of this market cycle, citing Dogecoin’s strong growth over the years and its status as the oldest meme coin. With a current market cap of $19.7 billion, Dogecoin is now the largest meme coin by market capitalization.
Pal agreed with Hayes and revealed that he had previously discussed the possibility of a Dogecoin ETF with the CEO of VanEck. He noted that Dogecoin has outperformed Bitcoin in every bull cycle, further solidifying its significance.
On investment strategy, Pal said 90% of his portfolio is concentrated in Solana (SOL), while Hayes holds a diversified portfolio of meme coins including Bonk (BONK), Dogwifhat (WIF), and Dogecoin. Hayes advised investors in 2024 to "hold, don’t sell, don’t get scared, and avoid excessive leverage."
