TechFlow reports, according to The Block, that The Graph Foundation, the blockchain data indexing and querying protocol, has completed its Sunrise program, marking The Graph's transition to a fully decentralized data layer.
Sunrise concludes a three-phase decentralization initiative, migrating subgraphs from centralized hosting services to The Graph’s global distributed network, composed of token-incentivized individuals and independent companies serving as data indexers.
The Graph introduced subgraph technology in 2018 to index Ethereum, but now indexes over 55 blockchains, including Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, NEAR, and Cosmos.
