TechFlow news: The Zilliqa network has announced the release of the Zilliqa 2.0 whitepaper and roadmap, to be deployed on the mainnet later this year.
This upgrade marks a significant evolution for the Zilliqa network, introducing innovative features such as the new sharding architecture x-shards, Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, and cross-chain communication capabilities.
Zilliqa 2.0 aims to deliver an efficient, scalable, decentralized, and secure blockchain, while supporting Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contracts, offering developers and enterprises greater flexibility. The mainnet migration to Zilliqa 2.0 will preserve historical account states and will not affect dApps currently running on the network.
