TechFlow reports, according to The New York Times, that the Attorney General of Washington, D.C. has reached a $40 million settlement with Michael Saylor and his software company MicroStrategy—the largest tax fraud settlement in Washington's history. The settlement stems from allegations that Saylor evaded $25 million in D.C. income taxes, along with accusations that MicroStrategy assisted in filing false documents.
Saylor and MicroStrategy deny any wrongdoing but have agreed to pay the $40 million settlement to avoid further legal proceedings.
