TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, the Thai government has announced a new visa category targeting digital nomads and freelancers. The visa allows them to work in the country for nearly a year, although details regarding tax obligations and income requirements remain unclear. In recent years, Thailand has become a hotspot for digital nomads, attracting cryptocurrency traders and developers.
The report states that the Thai government has launched a new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) for foreigners wishing to work and vacation. The DTV costs $270 (10,000 Thai baht) and is valid for five years. Each DTV entry grants a stay of 180 days, which can be extended by another 180 days upon payment of the same fee, allowing holders to work in Thailand for nearly 12 months per visit.
