TechFlow reports that the meme coin Degen on Farcaster has announced an upgrade to Degen tips starting in June. To combat spam and reward user engagement, tips will be distributed based on DEGEN holdings (minimum 10,000), tipping activity (5 times per week), and user ranking on Farcaster. This system is more resistant to fake clusters and cheating while rewarding high-quality interactions from active participants.
Degen will initially use OpenRank's global user rankings to select top profiles on Farcaster. In July, it will switch to a Degen-specific local ranking based on channel activity and tipping behavior.
