TechFlow reports that prosecutors are urging the court to sentence former FTX executive Ryan Salame to five to seven years in prison, after he pleaded guilty in September to two charges: violating campaign finance laws and operating an unlicensed money transmission business.
Prosecutors argue that Salame's criminal conduct warrants a "severe sentence," citing his role in funneling over $100 million in illegal political donations into the U.S. political system. Salame is scheduled to be sentenced on May 28 in Manhattan.
