TechFlow news, according to Fortune magazine, compliant digital asset platform Prometheum launched Ethereum custody services last Friday.
Prometheum specifically classifies the token as a security and operates under the supervision of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), significantly supporting SEC Chair Gary Gensler's stance. Gensler previously challenged the crypto industry's widespread belief that existing regulations are inadequate. Aaron Kaplan, Co-CEO of Prometheum Inc., said, "This eliminates much of the argument that operations aren't possible under current laws." Prometheum's broker-dealer subsidiary has already begun a soft launch with a limited number of firms and plans to fully roll out its custody services by early June.
