TechFlow reported that Li Jin, partner at Variant, said she has spent a significant amount of time exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency. She believes this convergence is critical to making AI more equitable and user-owned.
She shared some quick thoughts on the space, noting that projects at the intersection of AI and crypto generally fall into two categories: using crypto to solve AI problems, and using AI to solve crypto problems.
Currently, most companies are focused on applying crypto to AI challenges. In this competitive landscape, she believes differentiation will come from offering additional services and models to attract developers.
She also mentioned several early-stage investments she’s made at the AI-crypto frontier, including Worldcoin, Mana, Modulus, Botto, and Dawn wallet, and expressed excitement about continuing to support innovation in this area.
