TechFlow news, zkSync Developers announced the release of the zkSync Node Beta version, featuring a simplified setup process and lower hardware requirements. The zkSync Node is a read-only replica of the main node that anyone can run.
Key improvements enhancing developer experience include one-line Docker setup, synchronization with the main node, and the ability to run on consumer-grade hardware.
In addition, they stated that a pruning feature is under development to reduce the storage space requirements of the zkSync Node Beta. In the long term, zkSync Node will be enabled to act as both sequencer and validator.
