TechFlow news, according to The Block, yesterday two Bitcoin wallet addresses that had been dormant for over 10 years transferred a total of 1,000 BTC, worth more than $62.8 million at current prices.
One wallet address (16v...zEa) moved 500 BTC ($31.4 million) on Sunday at 5:46 PM, and the second address (1DU...fC5) transferred another 500 BTC just 20 minutes later. Both addresses originally received 500 BTC each on September 12, 2013—when they were worth only $62,000 combined. According to The Block's price data, Bitcoin is currently trading around $62,800, meaning the value of the transferred Bitcoin has increased by over 500 times since they were first received more than a decade ago.
