TechFlow reported, according to Cointelegraph, that the Monero peer-to-peer trading platform LocalMonero announced it has immediately halted all new user registrations and the posting of new Monero trade advertisements. Starting May 14, the platform will cease trading Monero altogether.
The company attributed its shutdown to a "combination of internal and external factors," without disclosing specific reasons. LocalMonero added that the website will shut down on November 7, advising users to withdraw any funds from their wallets before this date, or risk having them deemed abandoned.
