TechFlow reports that the Netherlands Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD) announced on its official website the arrest of a 26-year-old man on April 29, suspected of fraud, embezzlement, and money laundering related to the platform ZKasino. The platform is accused of defrauding global investors of over $30 million in cryptocurrency.
During a search operation at a residence, investigators seized assets worth more than €11.4 million, including real estate, luxury vehicles, and various cryptocurrencies.
The suspect has been detained for an additional 14 days, and the investigation remains ongoing. It began on April 25 based on tips from platform X (formerly Twitter) and intelligence gathered by FIOD’s information department.
In addition, FIOD has collaborated with Binance's team to help safeguard millions of euros worth of cryptocurrency. The investigative team is actively reaching out to individuals involved, urging their cooperation in returning millions of dollars to victims. Further arrests cannot be ruled out.
