TechFlow reports that Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill, founders of the Bitcoin privacy wallet Samourai Wallet, have been arrested on suspicion of money laundering. Prosecutors allege they received approximately $4.5 million in fees for operating a mixing service and facilitated around $2 billion in "illicit transactions."
The two are charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money transmitting business, carrying maximum sentences of 20 years and 5 years, respectively.
