TechFlow news: The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) has integrated the .box domain, making it usable with internet browsers. This marks the first on-chain top-level domain available within the ENS-managed application.
Users can now register .box domains through the app for Web2 services such as email and website hosting.
.box domain registration and transfers are executed entirely on the Ethereum blockchain. Unlike traditional .eth domains, .box domains are accessible across all web browsers via ENS.
This integration aims to further bridge the Web2 and Web3 ecosystems, enabling users to leverage both Ethereum and .box names. ENS has also partnered with leading domain registrar GoDaddy to link web domains to ENS names.
