TechFlow reports that the UK Parliament has unanimously called on the government to invest in developing skills required for cryptocurrency, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. During a debate led by MP Lisa Cameron, she urged the government to start cultivating digital skills from early education.
The government has already passed legislation recognizing cryptocurrency as a regulated activity, but Cameron believes further actions are needed. She highlighted that employers in the digital sector consistently report difficulties in finding the talent they need. Additionally, she advocated for closer collaboration with blockchain companies. In response, UK Skills Minister Luke Hall stated that the digital skills gap costs the British economy £63 billion annually.
