CZ admitted to allowing Binance operations to fall short of required AML standards and has reached a settlement with U.S. authorities, agreeing to pay $4.3 billion to resolve civil regulatory enforcement actions. According to U.S. sentencing guidelines, the recommended prison term ranges from 12 to 18 months, though he may receive leniency considering his cooperation and guilty plea.
