TechFlow news: OUTER, the first AAA open-universe exploration-themed MMORPG from Crystal Fun, concluded its second closed beta test on April 8, with a total of 3,969 players participating. During the beta, the game achieved a Day-1 retention rate of 85.8% and a 15-day retention rate of 50.4%. The average daily playtime reached 7.1 hours. Within the game, 101 players reached the maximum level and 57 guilds were established. This beta also introduced blockchain interactions, which recorded players’ daily activity and achievements. Players could check in on-chain to receive corresponding rewards, and participate in on-chain raffles to win in-game items.
OUTER’s blockchain interaction contracts were deployed on the X Layer testnet. During the beta, players generated over 10 million on-chain interactions. During the second test phase, Jack, game producer at Crystal Fun, revealed that the company will launch an NFT staking event in May, as Crystal Fun continues to explore the integration of large-scale games with blockchain technology and the development of sustainable in-game economies.
