TechFlow reports that Avi Eisenberg faces criminal fraud and manipulation charges over exploiting a vulnerability in DeFi exchange Mango Markets, resulting in an $1.16 billion loss. The trial will begin Tuesday at a federal court in New York and is expected to last two weeks.
He claims it was a "high-profit trading strategy," but prosecutors allege he manipulated price oracles to inflate the platform's token value. Eisenberg has agreed to return $67 million.
