TechFlow News, the Avalanche Foundation has partnered with Gitcoin to launch the Avalanche Community Grants Program. Applications for the first round of grants will open on March 26. Teams or individuals who have contributed to or plan to contribute to the Avalanche ecosystem are eligible to apply.
The program will allocate funds to match community donations and support crowdfunding initiatives within the ecosystem. The Avalanche Community Grants will be conducted in multiple rounds, each with its own criteria, deadlines, and funding limits. Each round will leverage Gitcoin's Grants Stack along with a combination of quadratic and retroactive funding to optimize the grant distribution.
The Avalanche Foundation will enable users within the Avalanche ecosystem to donate to projects they trust and wish to support. Eligible projects range from early-stage to established initiatives that must support or directly advance the Avalanche ecosystem, including:
- Public goods software;
- Analytics;
- Education;
- On-chain infrastructure and protocols;
- Gaming;
- NFTs / Art and culture;
- Consumer applications.
