TechFlow news: Arbitrum has completed the Atlas upgrade, with blobs now active. The minimum base fee will drop to 0.01 gwei, a tenfold reduction. Average transaction fees are expected to decrease from $0.50 to approximately $0.05. The additional execution gas fee reduction for Arbitrum One will take effect on March 18.
This upgrade, led by Offchain Labs, aims to reduce Ethereum Layer 2 transaction costs through the integration of blob transaction functionality.
