TechFlow news, according to The Block, following Coinbase's third technical issue within ten days, Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan said that Coinbase's ongoing technical problems are similar to Facebook outages, while suggesting that recurring issues at cryptocurrency exchanges should not have "too much direct impact" on spot Bitcoin ETFs.
He stated, "It looks bad, but does it change anything for Coinbase's business? Coinbase has crashed during previous bull markets and still grown aggressively. This is actually a theme throughout internet history—Facebook kept crashing yet still attracted billions of users."
