TechFlow reports, according to OKLink's analysis of security incidents in February 2024, the total losses across the network amounted to approximately $103 million. Among these, phishing scams occurred 37 times, accounting for 11.76% of total losses; REKT and RugPull incidents accounted for 7.33% and 5.34% respectively, while other types accounted for 75.57%.
The largest REKT incident this month involved the staking protocol senecaUSD, which was attacked due to a code logic vulnerability, resulting in losses of about $6.5 million. As of press time, the attacker has returned assets worth approximately $5.3 million.
In addition, official social media channels targeted by scams and phishing attacks were primarily concentrated on X (formerly Twitter) and Discord.
