TechFlow news — Dutch venture capital firm Theta Capital has announced the launch of its fourth blockchain-focused fund-of-funds, "Theta Blockchain Ventures IV." The fund's first close is scheduled for April 1, with a target fundraising amount of $200 million.
To date, the VC's blockchain funds have deployed over $650 million, primarily supporting early-stage blockchain startups and protocols. According to Chief Investment Officer Ruud Smets, following the crypto winter of 2022/23, the market is now entering the beginning of its fifth innovation cycle. As such, the new fund will focus on seeking investment opportunities in the blockchain infrastructure space.
