TechFlow news — Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas disclosed on X that Vanguard CEO Tim Buckley is set to retire by the end of this year, and the asset management giant is currently searching for a successor.
Buckley previously stated that Vanguard would not follow competitors like BlackRock and Fidelity in pursuing Bitcoin ETFs, calling Bitcoin lacking "intrinsic value," without cash flows, and too volatile.
Buckley's departure has sparked speculation within the crypto community about whether new leadership might shift the firm's stance toward cryptocurrencies.
