TechFlow news: Pudgy Penguins yesterday announced an expansion of its partnership with Walmart, adding 1,100 new stores carrying its Pudgy Toys collection. The Pudgy Toys line is now available in 3,100 Walmart locations across the U.S., alongside the launch of new Walmart-exclusive toys.
The new Walmart-exclusive items include five collectible Pudgy statues and a mystery "Lil Pudgys Igloo" set containing 25 unique Pudgy characters. Each toy comes with a QR code that unlocks features and collectibles in Pudgy World, an online open-world game powered by the Layer 2 blockchain zkSync Era where players can customize their penguin avatars and complete story-driven quests.
Pudgy Penguins first launched Pudgy Toys on e-commerce platforms in May 2023, a product line consisting of plush toys, statues, and physical collectibles.
