TechFlow news: Harmony has announced that it has resolved the network outage caused by node validation issues. The problem originated on February 10 when nodes on the Harmony mainnet became stuck, causing the network to halt.
Investigation revealed that snapDB was missing sharded state data required for block validation, leading to cross-link validation failures and trapping the network in a loop of view changes. After implementing fixes, network functionality has been restored without compromising integrity.
The team has updated cross-link management logic and is closely monitoring the network. The total recovery time exceeded the initial 26-hour downtime to ensure network stability. Going forward, Harmony will optimize database management, enhance its consensus mechanism, and improve communication channels.
