TechFlow reports, Binance CEO Richard Teng tweeted that the Binance team has successfully frozen $4.2 million worth of XRP stolen by hackers from Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen's personal wallet. Binance will continue to support Ripple's investigation and efforts to recover the funds, including closely monitoring the majority of the assets still held in external wallets used by the attacker, in case they are deposited into Binance.
Earlier, ZachXBT reported that Ripple appeared to have been hacked, resulting in approximately 213 million XRP—worth around $112.5 million—being stolen. Chris Larsen responded, clarifying that it was his personal account, not Ripple, that was compromised, and that law enforcement has already become involved.
