TechFlow reports that former Ripple Engineering Director Nik Bougalis posted on X, stating that Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen is neither the first nor the last person to have their XRP stolen in this manner.
Multi-signature support requires multiple signatures for a transaction, but Chris Larsen was not using multi-signature or custodial services.
Previous report: Ripple co-founder and Executive Chairman Chris Larsen stated on X, "Some of my personal XRP accounts (not associated with Ripple) were subject to unauthorized access yesterday. We quickly identified the issue and notified exchanges to freeze the affected addresses. Law enforcement has been involved."
