TechFlow news: Espresso Systems has launched its fourth testnet, Gibraltar, integrating the Arbitrum technology stack and marking the first time external operators are running Espresso Sequencer nodes.
The Espresso Sequencer is a trust-minimized, fast finality layer that any rollup can leverage for transaction ordering, data availability, and rapid pre-confirmation. It leverages HotShot consensus to scale to thousands of nodes while still delivering near-instant pre-confirmations.
In this testnet release, Espresso Systems has closely collaborated with the Blockdaemon team, which is responsible for operating the external sequencer node on Gibraltar.
