TechFlow news — Monica Long, President of financial and cryptocurrency services company Ripple, shared her thoughts on the presence of cryptocurrency industry participants at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
Long emphasized that it is "crucial" for the cryptocurrency industry to be represented at Davos by mature players who can demonstrate real progress and differentiate it from hype. For mainstream adoption to happen, traditional finance and decentralized finance must converge to effectively serve as many users as possible. This means cryptocurrencies must also comply with existing laws. The industry needs to work with governments to help establish sound policies and regulatory frameworks.
