TechFlow reports, citing DL News, that a vulnerability in Harmony's staking contract mistakenly minted nearly 150 million ONE tokens (approximately $2.2 million) and sent them to 79 user addresses.
Aaron Li, who reported the bug, sold 16.4 million ONE tokens ($260,000) after notifying the team on December 7. However, team engineer Gardiner accused Li of withholding information and delaying the fix.
Li still holds some of the erroneously minted tokens and plans to ultimately burn them to avoid impacting the token supply.
