TechFlow news: Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dashjr's proposal to "block spam NFTs" has been closed.
Bitcoin Core maintainer Ava Chow recently shut down further discussion on Dashjr's proposal—technically known as a "pull request" or PR—without taking any action to merge the new code. According to the website of the open-source Bitcoin Core project, maintainers are responsible for adding "code that the team believes should be merged."
Dashjr submitted the proposal in September, aiming to update the Bitcoin Core software to effectively block inscriptions by adopting revised data-carrier protocols.
