TechFlow news, the Prospera special economic zone on Roatán Island, Honduras, which adopted Bitcoin as legal tender less than two years ago, has now officially designated Bitcoin as the unit of account for measuring the market value of goods and services within the Prospera region.
Currently, due to technical limitations and regulatory issues, the area is not yet able to implement the "final Bitcoin tax payment process." Once these issues are resolved, entities will report their tax liabilities to Prospera ZEDE in Bitcoin. Individuals or entities interested in using Bitcoin as the unit of account must submit a notice to Prospera's Tax Commission within 30 days of the relevant tax period.
