TechFlow reports that an anonymous wallet spent approximately 1.5 bitcoins (worth about $66,000) across 332 transactions to inscribe nearly 9 MB of encrypted data onto the Bitcoin blockchain. While most transaction fees were around $200, some of the most expensive transactions reached several thousand dollars. As the data remains encrypted, no one can currently read the inscribed content.
The action was carried out using the Ordinals protocol, which associates data with satoshis, the smallest unit of bitcoin.
Previous report: An address starting with bc1q9 transferred 26.91 BTC from Binance to an address marked as Satoshi Nakamoto eight hours ago.
