TechFlow news — the nonprofit ethics group Campaign for Accountability (CfA) has accused Circle of facilitating financial support for terrorist organizations. CfA initially raised this allegation in a letter sent to two U.S. senators on November 9.
The letter, signed by CfA Executive Director Michelle Kuppersmith, stated: "Circle's recent use of cross-chain transfer protocols could potentially facilitate tools for illicit financing. Facilitating transfers to Tron is problematic, as the network has been cited in multiple enforcement actions involving billions of dollars in transactions linked to alleged organized crime groups and sanctioned entities."
