TechFlow news: Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) aims to advance regulation of cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence through a new strategy—pouring money into political candidates. Ben Horowitz, one of the firm's co-founders, said, "If a candidate supports an optimistic, technology-driven future, we support them. If they want to kill important technologies, we oppose them. Every dollar we donate will go toward supporting like-minded candidates and opposing those who aim to stifle America’s advanced technological future."
Horowitz stated this marks the first time a16z will take such an approach to promote politicians favorable to technology.
