TechFlow reports that Ivan Chebeskov, Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia, said at a roundtable titled "Cryptocurrency and the Future of Digital" that the ministry has prepared a bill allowing miners to "export cryptocurrency as a product of mining activities." The ministry and the central bank have reached a "common understanding" on "recognizing cryptocurrency mining as an industry," permitting the use of cryptocurrencies for settlements in foreign economic activities.
The central bank stated it wants to oversee crypto-driven transactions and intends to allow crypto payments within an "experimental sandbox." It also insists that miners must sell their coins "only on overseas platforms," with industrial miners selling exclusively to non-Russian residents.
