TechFlow reports that according to the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA)'s "2023 State of the Industry Report" released on December 12, 2023, 37.8% of respondents believe that new games launched by Web2 studios—or the integration of blockchain elements into existing games—will help drive the development of the blockchain gaming industry.
The survey also found that 19.8% of respondents viewed NFT games launched by traditional game studios as a positive driving force in 2023, while 15.2% noted these studios are transitioning toward Web3 technologies. Overall, 35% of respondents believe Web2 game studios adopting Web3 technologies will benefit the most in 2023.
