TechFlow News — Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas tweeted that according to publicly available regulatory memo documents, BlackRock held its third meeting with the U.S. SEC's Division of Trading and Markets on December 11 local time to discuss details regarding a spot Bitcoin ETF. Rachel Aguirre, Head of U.S. iShares Product at BlackRock, attended this meeting—she did not participate in the previous meeting on November 28. Most other attendees were lawyers. The analyst noted that this third meeting was by far the most significant one to date, as market participants are closely watching whether they can convince the SEC to allow in-kind creation mechanisms during the first-round approval.
