TechFlow news: India's homegrown e-commerce giant Flipkart will launch a Web3 loyalty program using Polygon's Chain Development Kit (CDK). Flipkart plans to build an Ethereum-based zero-knowledge (ZK) Layer 2 network on the Polygon CDK, which could help scale the platform's future growth and streamline its services.
On December 2, Polygon and Flipkart announced a strategic partnership aimed at effectively positioning the e-commerce platform within Web3 and the metaverse. This collaboration includes initiatives such as Flipverse for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), an eDAO for the metaverse, and the FireDrops NFT marketplace. Building on this partnership, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal announced on December 7 that Flipkart will leverage the Polygon CDK to scale its FireDrops Web3 loyalty program.
