TechFlow news: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has partnered with the Algorand Foundation to launch the Blockchain Academy, providing UNDP staff with training on blockchain technology applications. The Algorand Blockchain Academy will launch in 2024 and aims to enhance staff understanding of blockchain technology and its practical applications in sustainable development. The program includes recorded lectures, interactive workshops, and hands-on assignments, and will be made available to more than 22,000 UNDP employees worldwide, with gradual expansion to other UN agencies.
Focus areas of the initiative include financial inclusion, supply chain transparency, real-world asset tokenization, and digital identity.
The beta version is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024 and will be rolled out globally in phases.
