TechFlow News, November 30 — Renowned esports team Team Liquid has announced a collaboration with blockchain game Illuvium to test its turn-based, player-versus-player (PVP) auto-chess experience. Additionally, both parties will jointly host a $100,000 prize pool esports tournament in 2024. As part of the partnership, the game will release Team Liquid-themed Illuvium NFTs in the form of character skins and avatars.
In a blog post, Illuvium stated, “This collaboration is more than just two brands shaking hands—it sets a precedent for Web3 gaming within mainstream esports. It’s about creating a world where in-game achievements can translate into real-world accomplishments, where every action could potentially earn you something epic.”
Illuvium officially launched on the Epic Games Store on November 28.
