TechFlow News — Wormhole, a developer platform focused on blockchain interoperability, has announced the successful completion of a new funding round totaling $225 million, valuing the company at $2.5 billion. The round attracted participation from prominent investors including Brevan Howard, Coinbase Ventures, Multicoin Capital, Jump Trading, ParaFi, Dialectic, Borderless Capital, and Arrington Capital. With this influx of capital, Wormhole has also launched Wormhole Labs, an initiative aimed at advancing the development and application of cross-chain technology.
Since its founding in 2021, Wormhole has become core infrastructure for numerous major blockchains and projects, facilitating over $35 billion in cross-chain asset transfers and processing more than 750 million cross-chain messages. Dan Reecer, Chief Operating Officer of the Wormhole Foundation, stated that the company will continue to drive Web3 infrastructure development and plans to launch additional innovative products next year to further support the growth of the Wormhole developer ecosystem.
