TechFlow reported that Zipmex Thailand, a cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in Singapore, has announced the suspension of new deposits and trading services on its platform in compliance with regulations set by Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). While withdrawal services will continue to be processed normally until January 31, 2024, customers will need to contact the exchange's support team for assistance with withdrawals after that date.
Zipmex Thailand is facing penalties from the Thai SEC over allegations of improperly using digital asset custodial services and directing clients to the Singapore-based exchange Zipmex Pte, resulting in conflicts of interest. The exchange serves users in Thailand, Australia, and Indonesia. We will continue to monitor developments in this matter.
