TechFlow reported that Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart posted on X stating Grayscale held a meeting yesterday with the SEC's Division of Trading and Markets—the division responsible for approving or rejecting Form 19b-4. James Seyffart also noted that while GBTC’s transfer agent agreement with BNY Mellon was signed on November 16, it will not take effect until the day GBTC begins trading as an ETF on NYSE Arca.
It is understood that other potential spot Bitcoin ETF issuers have also met with the SEC over the past week.
