TechFlow news, according to CoinDesk, on Thursday the High Court of Montenegro dismissed Terra founder Do Kwon's appeal against a four-month prison sentence for charges related to document forgery.
The higher court "rejected as unfounded" the appeal against the lower court's ruling, which in June sentenced South Korean national Kwon and Terra executive Han Chang-Joon.
In March this year, nearly a year after the sudden collapse of Terraform Labs, the cryptocurrency firm's founder and his colleague were arrested in Montenegro. Both have remained in detention since their arrest, and Kwon will face extradition to either South Korea or the United States upon completion of his sentence in the Balkan country.
A statement from the Basic Court in Podgorica, Montenegro’s capital, said the four-month imprisonment was a "sufficient" punishment for the offense committed.
